Debbie came over to my house the other day to cook up some food. When she got in the kitchen, she opened up a bag and pulled out a bottle, “Look what I found?” It was a big dark colored bottle with a logo I recognized. VanGough Vodka! Mmmmmm. And as I looked closer, it wasn’t the Espresso Vodka as I had initially thought. Nope, it was Dark Chocolate Vodka! This is new… Double Mmmmm. “Lets make a drink,” I said. And so we did.
I set to work making us some strong coffees. Debbie got out the whipped cream and shaved pieces off some chocolate. “Is this enough or do we need more?” she asked. I didn’t answer, but I really didn’t have to. She shaved some more.
For Debbies sake, I measured out 2 oz of the Chocolate Vodka and added it to each of our coffee’s. She squirted a good amount of whipped cream and sprinkled chocolate shavings on top, “They almost look too good to drink.” “Just drink it,” I said as I took my first sip. “You have a mustache,” she laughed at me as I lowered my mug.
It was quiet for a long moment as we savored our drinks. Coffee and chocolate are the perfect pair. The sweetness of the chocolate and the tang of the vodka mixed with the bold, strong coffee is like the best Mocha drink I have ever had. I reached for her empty mug, “This drink tastes like another.” She smiled and passed me her mug, “Were gonna be up all night aren’t we?”
