Our Favorite New Years Eve Party Appetizers
Its the eve of the New Year! Â How are you celebrating? Â We have a couple friends coming over for some cocktails and fun. Â Do you have friends coming over to celebrate with you? Â You will need a few recipes to snack on as you sip your cocktails and wait for the big moment. Â We have got you covered. Â Below you will find a few of our favorite finger foods that are both easy and amazing.
But first, we want to give you a quick little insight on what we have planned for Cooks with Cocktails in 2016.  We have some exciting changes coming!  First and foremost, we have hired Kristy at Peppercorn Creative to give our baby a design overhaul.  A new logo, new colors, and total redesign of our blog is coming in the first part of 2016.  We cant WAIT to get this project completed.  Along with our new look is a slight shift in focus for our blog.  We will be focusing more on casual entertaining.  Food for friendly get-togethers, game day parties, seasonal parties, appetizers, some more upscale food for dinner parties, ideas for tablescapes and more…
If you have any comments on what you would like to see on this blog in the new year, we would love to hear from you!
And now, to help you plan your evening snacks, here are our favorite crowd pleasers:
Hot Onion and Gruyere Dip
This is probably my all time favorite dip. Â Creamy and cheesy with that sweet and salty thing going on from the prosciutto and the caramelized onions.
Truffled Hummus with Baked Pita Chips
This will be on our table tonight. Â It is by far, our favorite hummus to date and frankly, I’m not sure any hummus will ever top it.
Peach, Prosciutto and Brie Tart
So light and dreamy. Â Again that sweet and salty thing going on here. Â Make more than one, this will go FAST!
Bacon Wrapped Scallops with Cajun Cream Sauce
Everyone loves bacon wrapped scallops, but its the creamy and slightly spicy sauce that makes these ones so special. It’s great for dipping some bread into too…
Tomato, Pepper, Feta and Basil Bruschetta
A light and fresh alternative to plain old salsa and chips. Â You don’t have to make your own crostinis, but homemade is always better!
Asparagus Tart
Lotsa veggies. Â Lotsa cheese. Â Lotsa flavor. Â Nuf said.
Happy New Year Friends!
