Avocado, Jalapeno & Bacon Deviled Eggs & the Hard Boiled Egg Trick

  • 5 hardboiled eggs
  • 1 avocado
  • 2 slices of bacon , diced and cooked
  • 1/2 jalapeƱo , minced
  • 1/2 to 1 tsp salt (to tastes)
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 tsp cajun spice
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • sprinkle of paprika


  • Drop your eggs into a medium sized pot of boiling water. Cook for 10 mins and cool them completely by running cold water over them. Peel and slice them in half.
  • Scoop the yolks of the eggs into a little bowl. Slice your avocado in half and discard the pit. Scoop the flesh into the same bowl as the yolks. Add the salt, pepper, lemon, cajun spice, and jalapeno. Mix the filling until its nice and smooth and well combined.
  • Scoop the filling into a piping bag with a #1 tip and pipe the filling into each of the eggs. Sprinkle each egg with a little bacon and paprika.
  • Serve.
