Mulled Wine with Chocolate Raspberry Liqueur

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle of red wine
  • 1/3 cup mulling spices (cinnamon, dried ginger, all spice berries, dried apples, nutmeg)
  • 1 tbsp honey (optional)
  • 6 oz chocolate raspberry liqueur (or other red fruit liqueur you like)

Instructions

  • Pour the bottle of wine into a medium pot and turn the heat to low. Add the mulling spices. Let the wine come to a simmer and then lower the heat just a tad. You want it to be warming, but not boiling or simmering.
  • Let it sit for at least 30 mins.
  • Add the honey and liqueur and stir well to combine.
  • Ladle the wine into glasses and serve.
