Pineapple & Ginger Margarita Shaken with Egg Whites

Ingredients

  • 2 oz tequila
  • 4 oz pineapple juice (cold pressed if you can find it)
  • 1 tsp ginger , finely grated
  • couple large basil leaves
  • 1 1/2 tbsp egg whites
  • cajun spice for rimming the glass (optional)
  • lime wedge or juice for rimming the glass

Instructions

  • Rim your glass with cajun spice if desired. You can use salt instead. Or none :) Fill the glass with ice.
  • Add the tequila, ginger and basil to a martini shaker. Muddle the basil well.
  • Add the pineapple juice and egg whites. Shake well and pour it into a margarita glass.
  • Serve well.
