Simple Apple Chips

Ingredients

  • 2 apples (organic if possible)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 lemon

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 250 degrees.
  • If you have an apple corer, core the apples.
  • Cut the apples in slices so that you would see the apple stars. If you want crispy chips, cut them thin (1/8 inch). If you want more chewy chips, cut them a little thicker (1/4 inch).
  • If you haven't cored the apples, cut out the core of each one with a knife. You can leave them in if you like too, but I like to cut them out.
  • Rub the lemon half on both sides of each apple slice and lay them on a parchment lined tray.
  • Sprinkle with the cinnamon. You can do both sides if you like, but I find one side is good enough.
  • Bake them in the oven for about 45 mins to start. Check them and cook them longer depending on how you like them. Thicker ones will usually take about 45 to an hour. Thin ones will be about 45 mins.
